General Enquiries

  • Who can I bring to my session?

    We specialise in family portraiture so we encourage you to bring your whole family. Whether this be your multiple generations of your family, you and your partner or you and your pet or pets. The more the merrier, we can cater for groups up to thirty! Our artwork is intended to be in your home forever so we want you to ensure that your loved ones are all included.

  • Can I bring my pet to my photography session?

    We have photographed dogs, cats, iguanas, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, horses, sheep, goats and snakes. If they are part of your family, then of course they are welcome.

  • Do you provide a service for hair and make up?

    Hair and Makeup is not a service we provide. Verve is about revealing the real you and celebrating it! Feel free to have your hair and makeup done on the day if you would like, however we recommend you simply apply makeup and style your hair, as you would for a night out. We find we get the best images if you come looking like yourself. Our talented photographers, retouch artists and studio lighting will ensure that you look your very best.

  • Do you provide clothes or props for us to use in the shoot?

    As we believe that every family is different we want to show this in the images. Instead of having props or clothes at the studio we encourage you to bring along a few changes of clothing and personal items that are special to you. One of our experienced pre-session stylists or photographers will help you prepare for your shoot in the weeks before your experience.

  • Can I purchase an experience for myself to use later or for a friend?

  • Can you take my portrait at home or on location?

    All Verve photography sessions are conducted in our light and contemporary studios. Our clients don’t need their home environment to feel comfortable; our photographers are skilled at putting you at ease and we have created the perfect environment to photograph you looking amazing, with the best in studio lighting and equipment.

  • Do you take "traditional" portraits as well?

    At Verve, we believe that still, lifeless and posed images are a thing of the past. We find that we get the most vibrant and emotional images by having our subjects interact with each other, instead of posing for the camera! We believe you’ll love this different approach away from traditional portrait photography. Our aim is to celebrate the unique qualities of the relationships you’ve created with those you love.

  • How long will I wait to receive my Verve artwork?

    You will view your images a few short days after your photography session. This is where your experienced designer will help you to decide on your favourites and choose your Verve artwork. It may take between 4-6 weeks from the time you confirm your order, for your artwork to be ready for collection from the studio.

  • Do you photograph weddings?

    Our photography experiences are conducted in our studios, we generally do not photograph weddings, however a Verve Couples Experience is a great way for the newlyweds to celebrate the occasion with relaxed and spontaneous images that are completely different to the traditional posed images often taken at weddings.
    Many brides actually bring in their wedding dress to capture the essence of the day in Verve style (without the stress!)

  • Do you offer corporate photography at my business?
