That said, many clients do fall in love with more than one image and choose to invest in additional artwork or digital collections.

Our studios are busy and we are often booked up 6-8 weeks in advance. Here are some tips for booking your session:

3. We’ll work with you to find the time and date that suits you best.

If you’d like to book a newborn photoshoot or one where there will be 10+ guests, please contact us to book as we like to extend these photoshoots to three hours.

Our studios can comfortably accommodate up to 9 guests.

The number of images we take during your photoshoot varies. But we expect to present you with 30 to 40 beautifully retouched images to choose from at your viewing. Any images not included in your package are available to purchase separately if you choose to do so.

We get it. Kids can be a little unpredictable (or nervous, shy, etc).

With this in mind, our studios are designed to give children the freedom to move around, play on the beds, and feel at ease – it’s all part of the fun.

Giving them freedom also allows us to capture those candid, ‘un-posed’ moments that make our photography so special.

We’re so confident you’ll love the photos we capture of your family, we offer a ‘love your images’ guarantee, which means we’ll do a complimentary reshoot if for any reason you don’t fall in love with your initial images.

We do not offer location shoots at this time – with a studio photoshoot, you’re guaranteed great images no matter what the weather decides to do!

Our premium, luxury studios are designed to give you the best quality imagery, lighting and a relaxed experience for everyone involved.

We’re focused on capturing special family moments together. As soon as everyone relaxes and has fun in our studios, beautiful images naturally result.

However, in the very unlikely event you are not 100% thrilled with your photos, we’re proud to offer a ‘Love Your Images’ guarantee, which means you can enjoy a complimentary reshoot with us or receive a refund of your money back.

We don’t provide hair and makeup, but guests can choose to have this done before they come into the studio.

We recommend guests prepare as they would for a night out. We find we get the best images if they come looking like themselves.

Our talented photographers, retouch artists and studio lighting will ensure that all guests look their very best.

We have photographed all sorts of pets at Verve, and understand fur babies are part of the family too.

Our studios are designed to cater for families getting nice and cosy on beds and sofas. If you feel your pet would be comfortable in this environment, you are more than welcome to bring them (please just let us know beforehand).

Every Verve Experience includes a cinematic viewing of images – this is often our guests’ favourite part of the whole package as they get to see how amazing their photos are in a relaxed setting with refreshments.

Our Origins

Verve Portraits was created in 2006, born from a quest to change the landscape of photography within Australia. We wanted to create an immersive experience for families as they stepped inside a Verve studio, making the “experience itself” just as memorable and valuable as the imagery we capture.

Our distinctive style of raw, relaxed and emotive photography ensures the imagery we capture is timeless and becomes more and more valuable as the years pass by.

Created and run by the McErvale family, Verve Portraits is a very family-centric business. Our creative tribe are an extension of our family and we all share the same passion for documenting families in a truly unique way.
