VERVE PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE & PURCHASED VERVE PHOTOGRAPHY GIFT EXPERIENCE

We love making your experience special — and that starts with keeping things clear and flexible. Here’s what you need to know about our Verve Photography Experience:

Can’t use your purchase Verve Photography Experience? You’re welcome to transfer it to someone else – just let us know.
Verve Photography Experiences aren’t redeemable for cash and can only be used as outlined by Verve Portraits.
After buying your Experience, you’ll be prompted by email or SMS to book a scheduling call with our team. On your scheduling call, we’ll review your nominated preferred photoshoot dates against available appointments in our calendar and finalise your photoshoot date and time.
In the unlikely event that after reasonable efforts to contact you we’re not able to get hold of you to finalise your photoshoot date and time, your session may be released. Unfortunately, these cancellations aren’t eligible for refunds, as time and resources have already been allocated to your session. We always strive to handle changes with transparency, fairness, and kindness.
To help tailor your experience, all guests are required to complete a short online creative profile before their shoot.
If you don’t attend your scheduled photoshoot or design consultation without notice, your Verve Photography Experience will be forfeited.
The person booking the Experience must be at least 18 years of age on the date of your photoshoot.

Here’s what you need to know about our Purchased Verve Photography Gift Experience: We believe in giving thoughtfully — and with a few loving boundaries:

Purchased Verve Photography Gift Experiences can’t be redeemed for cash, or used toward previous photoshoots.
To secure the gift recipient’s photoshoot appointment, our team will be in touch with them via email or SMS asking them to confirm their session date and time. In the unlikely event that after reasonable efforts, we’re not able to get hold of them, their session may be released. Unfortunately, these cancellations aren’t eligible for refunds, as time and resources have already been allocated to their session. We always strive to handle changes with transparency, fairness, and kindness.
To help tailor their experience, all guests are required to complete a short online creative profile before their shoot.
The gift experience recipient must be at least 18 years of age on the date of their photoshoot.

COMPLIMENTARY VERVE PHOTOGRAPHY GIFT EXPERIENCES & PRIZES

From time to time, we love surprising our community with Complimentary Verve Photography Gift Experiences or prizes. To keep things smooth and seamless, here are the terms that apply:

Exclusivity: Complimentary gift experiences and prizes are not redeemable for cash, cannot be combined with any other promotion or special offer, and must be used as outlined by Verve Portraits.
Not transferable: These complimentary gift experiences and prizes are non-transferable for other services and may not be used to purchase images from previous photography sessions.
One per year: Only one complimentary gifted experience or prize may be redeemed per person per calendar year.
Securing your session: To secure your Verve Photography Experience, a fully refundable $150 holding deposit is required at the time of booking. This will be refunded after your image reveal session.
Fairness & discretion: Verve Portraits reserves the right to withdraw a complimentary gift experience or prize at any time. In the unlikely event this happens, any payments made (such as a holding deposit) will be fully refunded. We always strive to handle changes with transparency, fairness, and kindness.
Minimum age: The complimentary gift experience or prize recipient must be at least 18 years of age on the date of their photoshoot.
Final note: If your appointment isn’t confirmed by yourself, Verve Portraits reserves the right to cancel your session or consultation.

LOVE YOUR IMAGES GUARANTEE

We proudly offer a “Love Your Images” Guarantee to ensure complete peace of mind when purchasing a Verve Portraits Experience.

If you attend your photoshoot and subsequent design consultation and, upon viewing your images for the first time, feel that you do not love the images presented, you may request a full refund of your purchased Verve Portraits Experience. (Please allow time for your bank to process the refund – once we’ve issued it, the rest is up to them.) There is no obligation to purchase artwork.

This guarantee applies only at the initial design consultation when images are first viewed and must be exercised at that appointment. Once you select images and proceed with the purchase of artwork, it is deemed that you love your images and the guarantee is no longer applicable. Requests made after the design consultation or following the purchase of artwork are not eligible under this guarantee.

RESCHEDULING YOUR PHOTOSHOOT OR DESIGN CONSULTATION

We get it — life happens. If you need to reschedule, here’s how it works:

You’re welcome to reschedule your appointment once, free of charge, as long as you give us at least 72 hours notice.
If you provide less than 72 hours notice, reschedule more than once, or miss your appointment altogether, any fees paid will be non-refundable. A new $150 booking fee will be required to rebook.

All rescheduled appointments are subject to availability.

CANCELLING YOUR PHOTOSHOOT

Change of heart? We understand – here’s how cancellations work. We want every guest to feel genuinely confident and excited about their Verve Photography Experience with us. If you decide this is no longer right for you, the following terms apply:

Before or during your scheduling call You’re welcome to cancel your Experience over the phone with our team during business hours at any time prior to completing your scheduling call. In this case, a full refund will be provided.
After your scheduling call During your scheduling phone call, we take the time to answer your questions and formally lock in your photoshoot date and time. Once this call has been completed, your session is considered confirmed. As our team, studio time, and resources are carefully allocated from this point, cancellations made after the scheduling call are not eligible for a refund.
How to cancel All cancellations must be made by phone during business hours so we can support you properly. We’re unable to accept cancellations via email, text message, or voicemail. We always strive to handle changes with transparency, fairness, and kindness.

Privacy Policy

Verve Portraits are serious about protecting your privacy. In handling your personal information, we are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act (as amended). This policy sets out how Verve Portraits collects, stores, uses, discloses and otherwise handles your personal information. This policy may be updated from time to time.

What personal information does Verve Portraits collect and why?

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified, or reasonably identifiable, individual. During the provision of its services and/or products, Verve Portraits may collect your personal information. Generally, the kinds of personal information Verve Portraits collects are:

Contact and identification information such as your name, address, telephone/mobile numbers and email address;
Credit card and other banking information for the purpose of facilitating payment to Verve Portraits for services and/or products provided;
Images of you contained in photographic materials; and
Other information such as information about your hobbies or interests to personalise your photography session;
In some circumstances Verve Portraits may also hold other personal information provided by you.

How does Verve Portraits collect personal information?

Generally, Verve Portraits collects your personal information directly from you, through:

The completion of a manual or online form, such as an application form on Verve Portraits’ website;
An interaction or exchange in person, such as through a face-to-face meeting, or by way of telephone, facsimile, email, post or through the use of the Verve Portraits website; and/or
When you enter a Verve Portraits competition.

There may be occasions when Verve Portraits collects your personal information from other sources such as from:

Third parties with which Verve Portraits does business;
An information services provider;
A publicly maintained record or other publicly available sources of information including social media and similar websites.

Generally, Verve Portraits will only collect your personal information from sources other than you if it is unreasonable or impracticable to collect your personal information from you.

Why does Verve Portraits need your personal information?

Verve Portraits collects, holds, uses and discloses your personal information where it is reasonably necessary for the purposes of:

Providing to you personalised photography services and photography products, including processing your orders or applications and dealing with requests, enquiries or complaints and other customer care related activities;
Issuing to you your Verve Portraits Experience Voucher;
Accounting, billing and other internal administrative and business management purposes; and carrying out market and product analysis.

Verve Portraits may also use your personal information, including your image, quotes or other information for inclusion with our marketing materials, where you have consented to such use.

Also, Verve Portraits may use your personal information for purposes related to the above purposes and for which you would reasonably expect Verve Portraits to do so in the circumstances, or where you have consented or the use is otherwise in accordance with law.

Where personal information is used or disclosed, Verve Portraits takes steps reasonable in the circumstances to ensure it is relevant to the purpose for which it is to be used or disclosed. You are under no obligation to provide your personal information to Verve Portraits. However, without certain information from you, Verve Portraits may not be able to provide its services and/or products to you.

Direct Marketing

Verve Portraits may use and disclose your personal information in order to inform you of services and/or products that may be of interest to you from Verve Portraits or selected third parties. In the event you do not wish to receive such communications, you can opt-out by contacting Verve Portraits on 1300-0-VERVE (1300-0-83783) or through any opt-out mechanism contained in a marketing communication to you.

To whom does Verve Portraits disclose your personal information?

Verve Portraits discloses your personal information for the purpose for which Verve Portraits collects it, as set out above. This may include disclosing your personal information to:

Third parties engaged to perform administrative or other services on behalf of Verve Portraits;
Third parties for the provision of financial services, if and to the extent that customers choose to use such services.
People or entities considering acquiring an interest in Verve Portraits’ enterprise or assets or otherwise working with Verve Portraits to facilitate the provision of its services and/or products;
Verve Portraits’ professional advisors, contractors, consultants and related bodies corporate.

Disclosures to third parties are on a confidential basis or otherwise in accordance with law. Verve Portraits may also disclose your personal information with your consent or if disclosure is required or authorised by law.

Security of your Personal Information

Verve Portraits takes steps reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the personal information it holds is protected from misuse, interference and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Verve Portraits holds personal information in both hard copy and electronic forms in secure databases on secure premises, accessible only by authorised staff.

Verve Portraits will destroy or de-identify personal information in circumstances where it is no longer required, unless Verve Portraits is otherwise required or authorised by law to retain the information.

How to access and correct your personal information

Verve Portraits takes steps reasonable in the circumstances to ensure personal information it holds is accurate, up-to-date, complete, relevant and not misleading. Under the Privacy Act, you have a right to access and seek correction of your personal information that is collected and held by Verve Portraits. If at any time you would like to access or correct the personal information that Verve Portraits holds about you, or you would like more information on Verve Portraits’ approach to privacy, please contact Verve Portraits on 1300-0-VERVE (1300-0-83783).

Verve Portraits will grant access to your personal information to the extent required or authorised by the Privacy Act or other law and take steps reasonable in the circumstances to correct personal information where necessary and appropriate. To obtain access to your personal information:

You will have to provide proof of identity to ensure that personal information is provided only to the correct individuals and that the privacy of others is protected;
Verve Portraits requests that you be reasonably specific about the information you require;
Verve Portraits may charge you a reasonable administration fee, which reflects the cost to Verve Portraits, for providing access in accordance with your request.

Privacy Complaints

Please direct all privacy complaints to Verve Portraits’ Privacy Compliance Officer on 1300-0-VERVE (1300-0-83783). At all times, privacy complaints:
In the event that you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you may refer the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

will be treated seriously;
will be dealt with promptly;
will be dealt with in a confidential manner; and
will not affect your existing obligations or affect the commercial arrangements between you and Verve Portraits.
